Moroso Outlaw Street Drags

The outlaw street drags is the epitome of street drag racing.  As the "Outlaw" name implies, there are no rules and it's a balls out run-what -you-brung heads up racing.  The provide the tree and the win light but that's it.  You can purchase time slips if you are so inclined for your own records and benchmarking but the crowd never sees any times.

As you might expect, this type of even favors the domestic crowds and there were more small blocks and big blocks than we could count on all our appendages.  60's Stangs and Camaros, plenty of Grand Nationals, Nova's and even some cars from the 60's.

Cowl hoods were the common exterior mode among 90% of the domestics.  That's not to count out the Imports.  There were a few that were holding there own out there against the bigger dogs.  SRT-4's, a Supra or 2, several old school Datsuns (don't sleep on them!), and of course you have to have some Civics.  Unfortunately, the high power Civy's didn't come out and the ones there got spanked pretty good much to the amusement of the crowd.

Now the only requirement for Outlaw is that your car past tech inspection, no other rules apply so whatever you can cram in your engine bay is fair game.  This led to the spectacular destruction of several cars the most amazing of which was a Buick GN that had a two stage kit on it and no sooner than hitting the second stage BLEW the axel off the car!!  We weren't expecting it so there's no shot but the explosion was almost as big as the car and then the axel went skipping down the track.  Ahh, fun times.  Outlaw Street Drags
