NOPI Drift Miami 2007

You gotta love NOPI.  Those guys know how to get it done.  (No, we will not be saying saying "Git R Dun" on this site. ;) )  You got to hand it to NOPI Man to put on a great show.  This event was (as you've guessed) the drifting championship round for Miami.  The drivers came in with points from the previous event hoping to gather more for the #1 spot.  The drivers warmed up on Saturday and then on Sunday it was "Go time".  There was a cameo appearance by Terry "Hulk" Hogan as his son Nick drifts a Viper.  We did not get a chance to catch up to him but did grab a shot for the archives.

One thing about the sport of drifting is that the cars are usually very sharp looking, with custom paint, wheels, and graphics.  That's why is such a shame to see them torn to bits.  Either by introducing themselves to Mr. Wall, or but clipping a seemingly harmless cone.  You would not think a rubber cone weighing only a few pounds could rip the bumpers clean of the front of a car.  Well they can, and do.  (Much to the distress of the owners.  These guys were all troopers and patched up their cars and kept running.

"God bless-the-A-NOPI-Chicks..."  Oh, sorry about that, I was briefly inspired.  As you can see by the sample, the NOPI girls were on the scene and causin' a ruckus where ever they went.  You want to see a bunch of guys fall all over them selves in public, stay within sight of the NOPI Chicks at an event.  It's great fun to watch.  The photo shoot above must have had 20 guys all shooting, some from magazines and others for their private uh..."collections".  ;)  Follow the link to see it all.
