We bring you our next feature on Sport Compact Miami, Sean's 1991 Civic EF Hatch.  Sean is the owner of Power Rev Racing tuning shop in Ft. Lauderdale, and when he's not tuning cars, he races them. (you can see our feature on his shop here Power Rev Racing)

Owner:  Sean Y.  Car:  '91 Civic EF Hatchback w/Accord 3.0L V6 engine swap.
Club Affiliation:  Power Rev Racing Team - Ft. Laurderdale  Sponsors: ENEOS
Future Plans:  Accord J30 block w/ERL sleeves, JE pistons, Pauter rods, & Big Precision GT42R turbo.

Sean is into racing and participates in many forms of the sport.  He enjoys drag, road, and autocross.  He even has a few trophies under his belt to prove he is serious about this sport.  The EF here is his Quick 16 challenger and he plans to enter and try to win the championship in the upcoming seasons.  He considers his rivals to be the Clutchmasters Team who currently dominate the class with a few Hondas of their own.

The first thing you notice (esp. seeing that the hood doesn't fit) is the large 3.0L Accord VTEC motor crammed into the front end.  Of course the age old formula applies: Big motor + Little car = FUN!  Starting with the outside, the hatch is bathed in a S2K Red & gloss Black two tone with the customized P2R logo on the doors.  The rollers are paint matched 13" Welds in the front and 15" Nippon wheels in the back.  Mickey Thompson 22/8/13 and Hankook 205/50/15's provide the grip to the asphalt.  With a bigger engine helped by a turbo, any car with a FF drivetrain setup has to have drag slicks to have any hope of launch traction and even then it's no walk in the park.  Keeping the rear from sagging like so many out of shape butts are 1000lb Skunk2 springs and Tokico shocks.

Under the hood the V6 is treated to a host of P2R goodies ranging from the fuel rail, to the turbo manifold, custom thermal intake gasket, and power coated valve covers to make it look nice and clean.  The "psshhh.." is courtesy of a journal bearing Precision Turbo (.68AR) that pushes air through a water/air intercooler into the intake via a 75mm throttle body.  A Turbonetics Newgen waste gate keeps the top of the engine from going nuclear, and a TiAl blowoff vavle provides throttle relief and cool psshh.. melodies.  They have the hot, smelly emissions shooting straight out the custom (side exit) 3" downpipe ahead of the left front tire.  The whole symphony is directed by a Stinger IV standalone EMS that rides shotgun next to Sean while his Cobra seat and RCI harness makes sure he stays behind the wheel.  In total, all the goodies add up to an impressive 505bhp and 442lbs ft @ 11psi.
